Our sit in Mount Martha was the only one we did during our stint in Australia that wasn’t for friends.

It was also ‘different’ for us because we met the homeowners, Rose and Cassie, in person at their home in Mount Martha before the sit. It was just after we arrived in Australia in February but our house sit for them wasn’t until April. We discussed the requirements of the sit and care for the animals and were given a set of house keys. This was the first, and only time, we saw Rose and Cassie as they were departing early in the morning on the day of our arrival. They were also returning home after we had left the property. Their pet cats, Lola and Pedro, were not as excited to meet us, especially Pedro who ran away at the sight of us.

Olive trees stretch for miles and miles around. Our home owners, retired English couple, David & Sylvia tell us there are 86 million trees in this region and is the highest producer of Olive Oil in Spain. In fact this area alone produces 75% of Spain’s olive oil.

This lovely renovated Spanish home with views overlooking, you guessed it, olive trees is our new home for the next 3 weeks.

We’re back in Spain again after spending 3 months house sitting in the UK and France.

We are an hours or so drive from Barcelona staying in a small town 5kms from Sant Feliu de Guixols in the Costa Brava region. This area of Spain is gorgeous, we are close to beautiful ‘blue flag’ beaches and there are an abundance of walking and cycling trails literally at our door step.
